PMI Patient Master Index
The Patient Master index (PMI) is the TriMed medical database that holds information on every patient registered at a healthcare organisation.
Pre-admissions
The pre-admission function allows for bed bookings and theatre bookings to be done either from doctors’ rooms or via a website prior to the admission, to ensure time saving and efficiency at admission.

Admissions
Admission search criteria for a quick search on existing patients with a cross-check for duplicate patient records. Validation by biometrics or photograph linked to the patient record.
On-line eligibility check
Allows for an on-line membership validation to confirm scheme and dependent details at admission to the medical facility.
Diagnosis & procedure coding
ICD10 and CPT4 coding can be added and updated during patients’ stay to ensure compliance to international treatment protocols.
Deposits & receipts
Facility to capture co-payments and deposits at pre-admission or admission, limiting the financial risk to the organisation.
In-patient, outpatient and emergency
TriMed is structured to cater for the treatment of inpatient, outpatient and casualty patients.

Quotations
The system is able to generate an estimation of the average cost of procedures based on specific primary CPT codes.
File tracking (hard copy)
Patient file movement can be tracked by means of scanning the patient label in and out of departments.
Document scanning (basic module)
All admission and case management documentation can be scanned and attached to the patient’s electronic record.
Case management
TriMed has a comprehensive Case Management Module allowing for seamless communication with the schemes and input into a complete Electronic Health Record which can be forwarded directly from the system. All supporting documentation is scanned and forms part of the electronic record. Warning messages can be set-up to notify case managers once visit allocations are exceeded.
Co-payment management
Facility to capture co-payments and deposits at pre-admission or admission, limiting the financial risk to the organisation.
Notes field
Notes captured on pre-admission and admissions can be used to manage co-payments or special conditions.
